About our company

Overview

Shugam LLC, established in 1994, is engaged in providing a comprehensive suite of services including feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, research and analysis, and consulting for the construction, transmission, and distribution of electricity. The company boasts a team of 20 full-time, highly skilled engineers ready to undertake a wide array of engineering design tasks and engineering supervision roles.

As of 2024, Shugam has successfully developed and delivered over 200 project designs. This portfolio includes more than 20 projects financed by state budgets and 10 projects supported by international funding. Among these projects, 5 have been for substations and overhead power lines with voltages exceeding 220 kV. Power Energy detailed list of design projects spanning from 2018 to 2023, we can observe a consistent trend in the organization’s ability to manage and deliver a variety of complex electrical infrastructure projects. These projects encompass a broad range of capacities, from solar power plants and substation renovations to extensive overhead transmission lines (OHTL) and detailed engineering consulting services.

Our journey

1994

Shugam entrepreneurship established

On the initiative of Mongolia's consulting engineer Jambyn Bat-Ochir, the 'Shugam' entrepreneurship was established, becoming Mongolia's second private company in the field of energy construction.

1995

Granted 35-220 kV design rights

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development of Mongolia granted 'Shugam' the right to develop 35-220 kV OHTL, substations, feasibility studies, and designs.

1996

Special permit granted

Based on Mongolian Government Resolution No. 35, 76 of 1995, 'Shugam' was granted a special permit for assembling substation equipment up to 35kV and 110kV.

2002

Registered as LLC

'Shugam' was registered as a limited liability company.

2008

Started design services

'Shugam LLC' started providing electrical engineering design services.

2013

Shugam-Engineering LLC separated

The energy construction business was separated as 'Shugam-Engineering LLC.'

2016

AS Systems LLC established

The geodetical survey company 'AS Systems LLC' was established.

2020

Master Electric LLC established

The electrical equipment trading company 'Master Electric LLC' was established.
